AN OPPORTUNITY TO LEGALIZE TINY HOUSES in LA

Tiny house advocates have been working hard to legalize Movable Tiny Houses as Additional Dwelling Units. Contact to your elected official and tell them why you’d like to see Movable Tiny Houses allowed as backyard homes! We only have a short window to act on this amazing opportunity, so make your voice known!

TINY HOUSE PROJECTS POPPING UP ALL OVER CALIFORNIA!

Under the Step Up Housing Initiative passed unanimously at their recent meeting, Berkeley City Council approved 100 of micro-units to be installed on city-owned land and be offered as housing to the homeless! Read more here.
In Fresno, California, Habitat for Humanity is looking into developing tiny house subdivisions that meet zoning requirements! Imagine the momentum the tiny house movement could receive if supported by an internationally acclaimed organization such as Habitat for Humanity!

AN ELECTION IS COMING UP

Do you know how you’re voting on March 7th?
Abundant Housing LA is AGAINST Measure S, saying “There’s a whole host of reasons why Measure S is bad for LA; most importantly it’ll drive up rents, worsen traffic, and kill tons of jobs – you can read the full scoop here.

If you’d like to help spread their message – the invite stands: “Please join us as we go door-to-door and spread the word to vote No On S. Everyone will meet and then we'll head out to get the word out. And after we're done, free lunch.”

Move LA supports measure H, saying “Measure H would provide $355 million annually for 10 years to fund a coordinated countywide approach to providing homeless services ranging from mental health counseling and job training to treatment for addiction, expanded outreach, rapid re-housing, help with rent over the short-term, more affordable housing, and improved case management. Services would be offered beginning in July of this year!” You can pledge to vote for Measure H HERE!
